Kiosko is the record of practically the beginning of my creative process of working with the written press, it is the travel diary with the camera as witness to the fortuitous encounters of the public places where I buy or see the newspapers, and the urban uses of the same . Premises with the windows covered from the inside by ocher newspapers from previous days of places under restoration or abandoned that try to give privacy to their interior, the sun makes notice the passage of time and the reading to the discreet date printed confirmation of the past also the surprise of remembering some spectacular news in that unexpected public showcase that we all remember in the collective memory and bring us back to our present talking about that event or extending a new understanding with its decanted outcome. At other times the "kiosk" is already the hotel room, the suitcase or the table in my study with the selected newspapers. Although from there my conceptualization of the work begins, my ideas and the act of creating with paint there are still previous ones: the elaboration of paper as raw material and paper in the printing press, consolidating journalistic work, both will go from industrial, commercial work and intellectual to be distributed massively, worldwide and also in parallel digitally online. At that point I am a small filter, a sieve that manages to filter, retain and consolidate a minimum percentage of that immensity of information and titles of publications in the world ... a fisherman with a boat in the middle of the ocean casting a net sometimes in a point or another on the planet. I can go unnoticed while the maelstrom of the world continues and at a speed that I have never been able to keep up with, sometimes I find myself like a scavenger recycling news from newspapers, delivering to recycling centers others that I myself discarded and carried in packages, with the question of how that process and destination of the paper will continue in trucks full that leave as public garbage with tons and how much those obsolete newspapers helped or affected to change the world, people's ideas or if the information was useful in some way sense. In another direction are those that were documented in libraries and newspaper libraries and finally mine that became collections of art, of conversed ideas, pulsations and that are also preserved in art books.
