Painting allows images to survive their original moment.

My work explores how images move through time and shape our perception of reality. Working across painting, installation, and socially engaged projects, I draw from newspapers, family photographs, historical artworks, travel experiences, and everyday visual culture to investigate how images continue to generate meaning beyond the circumstances in which they were created.

Rather than preserving the past, painting displaces images into new temporal contexts where memory becomes a space for critical thought rather than mere recollection. As past, present, and future continually inform one another, familiar images acquire new significance, inviting us to reconsider how personal experience and collective history shape the realities we inhabit.

I understand painting as a space where time, memory, and reality remain in constant dialogue—a place where images are not only remembered, but reimagined.

 

Family Album
→ intimate memory / identity / archive / emotional history

 

That transforms the beach into a psychological space rather than a touristic one.

This is important because it shifts the genre of the “family album” into an ambiguous territory:
memory ceases to be a celebration and becomes a contemplation of time.
